Magdalen College offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Liberal Studies with majors in Literature, Philosophy, History, and Theology. In addition to their major, students may choose to concentrate in the fine arts.
Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts (formerly Northeast Catholic College, The College of Saint Mary Magdalen, and simply Magdalen College), was a private Catholic liberal arts college in Warner, New Hampshire.
The college offers four majors: literature, philosophy, history, and theology. These majors provide students with the opportunity to enter deeply into a discipline, engaging many of its primary texts, its key tools, and its animating principles.
Alongside a tradition of academic excellence, Magdalen is best known for its architecture including the iconic Great Tower, its warm and welcoming community, and its extensive grounds which include a deer park, a Water Meadow, and Addison’s Walk.
Magdalen College was founded in 1458 by William Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester, and Lord Chancellor. He wanted a college on the grandest scale, and his foundation was the largest in Oxford, with 40 Fellows, 30 scholars (known at Magdalen as Demies), and a large choir for his Chapel.
