Morehouse College is a private historically Black, men's, liberal arts college in Atlanta, Georgia. Anchored by its main campus of 61 acres (25 ha) near Downtown Atlanta, the college has a variety of residential dorms and academic buildings east of Ashview Heights.

6 de feb. de 2006 · Morehouse College is one of ten historically Black colleges and universities in Georgia. Located a few miles from downtown Atlanta in the historic West End district, Morehouse is one of only five all-male colleges in the United States and the only one for African Americans.
In its formative years, Morehouse College –under the leadership of President John Hope – began the tradition of educating leaders. Dr. Howard Thurman, a prominent author, philosopher, theologian, educator and mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was just one of their prominent alumni.
