Having sustained a fair degree of damage during WW2 it nonetheless remains a beautiful city. One of the biggest reconstruction projects is the Hohenzollern palace.

  4. In 2013 the German National Committee for Cultural and Media Affairs named the Garrison church Potsdam an important cultural monument and offered 12 million Euro towards the funding of its reconstruction. Reconstruction work began in 2017 with the aim to complete the tower first.

  7. 17 de ago. de 2022 · Outside the Old Market Place, many areas are currently under reconstruction: the Garrison Church in the historic centre of Potsdam was considered as a major work of Prussian baroque architecture. It is under reconstruction again and will serve for religious but also cultural purposes.
