13 de jun. de 2022 · There is an allegation that the teenage Princess Elizabeth was sexually abused by Thomas Seymour after Henry VIII ’s death in January 1547. Seymour was the brother of one of her stepmothers, Jane Seymour, and the husband of another, Katherine Parr.

I know the rumors have always existed that Elizabeth and Seymour had a love affair and possibly had a secret child but I’ve never really bought that and it seems most scholars don’t believe that their relationship we have “gone all the way”.
The Affair of Thomas Seymour and Princess Elizabeth Soon after Henry VIII died on 28 January 1547 and Edward VI, became king at age nine, Catherine Parr, Henry’s widow, married Thomas Seymour, uncle of Edward VI, with whom she had had an affair prior to her marriage with Henry VIII.
Her flirtations with Robert Dudley, the love of her life, early on within her reign were marred by the suspicious death of his own wife. This served as a reminder to Elizabeth how dangerous love could be, especially following her youthful encounter with Thomas Seymour.
