Wangaratta High School is proud to be the only public secondary school in Wangaratta, and it has a significant focus on supporting students to achieve their own individual pathway programs and attracts students from surrounding areas for its Academic, Arts, Technology and Performing Arts programs.
Wangaratta High School is a government secondary school in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. It was the 2002 winner of the Kool Skools award. It has consolidated from three campuses (Ovens College and the Wangaratta HS / GoTAFE Campus), back to one campus in 2014.
Wangaratta High School was established in 1909 as an Agricultural High School for 18 students at two sites. So began a tradition of encouraging and supporting each student to be their best. To help each of them develop intellectually and socially to reach their full potential.
Wangaratta High School welcomes enrolments across all year levels throughout the school year. To ensure we provide each student with a personalised program, enrolment interviews include. a tour of the school. a conversation about each student’s interests and strengths.
Wangaratta High School is a public, coeducational secondary school situated in regional north-east Victoria, with a proud history beginning over 100 years ago when it opened its doors in 1909 under the name Wangaratta Agricultural High School.
