The JD program is a full-time day curriculum requiring three academic years of study. All first-year students begin in the fall semester. Students must complete a total of 85 credits with a final weighted average of at least 2.3 (C+) to graduate.

Selected students have the opportunity to participate in BC Law student journals, including the prestigious Boston College Law Review. Boston College Law School also supports nearly a dozen different internal competitions, including negotiation, client counseling, moot court, and mock trial.
