Convent Thoughts is a painting by the Pre-Raphaelite painter Charles Allston Collins which was created between 1850 and 1851. Collins sent it to the Royal Academy of Arts in 1851 where it was exhibited.

  4. Convent Thoughts by Charles Allston Collins, 1851 Collins' depiction of a nun was of great interest to the Combes as they were keen supporters of Tractarianism, also known as the Oxford Movement. Thomas Combe bought the painting for £150 – the largest sum that Collins ever made for a picture.
