This content requires the base game DCS World Steam Edition on Steam in order to play.
This 900x500 km map covers most of the eastern Mediterranean, and it includes the island of Cyprus, Lebanon, a large part of Syria up to the border with Iraq, parts of Israel, Turkey, and Jordan. The cities of Damascus, Nicosia, Tripoli, Latakia, Tartus, Homs, Aleppo, Hama, Palmyra, Haifa, Acre, Beirut and Adana are simulated, as well as unique constructions of world famous landmarks and historical monuments.
Geographically, the map covers moderately humid coastal areas in the west and mountains and arid desert landscapes in the east. The map recreates more than 200 historical and original structures in detail, as well as meticulously reproduces the military infrastructure - more than 100 military bases, training grounds, and checkpoints.
Especially for aviation fans, 51 airfields and heliports, including the international airports of Beirut Damascus and Larnaca, as well as the military airbases of Incirlik, Ramat David, Hmeymimim, Naqoura, and Akrotiri, are recreated at the highest level of detail.
Since the days of ancient Egypt, the Roman and Ottoman empires, major wars have been waged in these lands. Thousands of years ago swords, spears, and arrows were broken in battle, and modernity has turned these areas into theaters of high-tech warfare.
In the 20th century, this land witnessed many armed clashes, including a number of Arab-Israeli conflicts: the 1948 War of Independence, the 1967 Six-Day War, the 1970 War of Attrition, the 1973 Doomsday War, the 1982 Lebanon War. On the territory of the map in 1974 began a major confrontation between Cyprus and Turkey.
In the 21st century, the heat of war has not subsided and a multinational campaign against the Islamic terrorist state has unfolded. The Arab-Israeli confrontation reached a new level.

This map covers most of the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, it includes several climatic zones and territories of 5 states - Syria, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan. Since the times of Ancient Egypt, the Roman and Ottoman empires, large-scale wars were fought across these lands.

Although Eagle Dynamics is pushing forward still with their Marianas Islands map which is apparently pioneering new technologies, I wouldn’t be surprised if what we see on DCS: Syria is already making use of a good number of those ...
15 de mar. de 2023 · In this persistent dynamic campaign, your goal is to move through the map and capture all zones from the enemy. As you capture some areas, you will unlock benefits for your coalition such as friendly air patrols, or new spawn positions. Beware as the enemy will also launch attacks to retake what was once theirs.

Ugra Media and Eagle Dynamics released the newest map for DCS World this week, a busy one to be sure in the history of this hobby, and I wanted to weigh in with my own first impressions on this new map along with plenty of screenshots.
3 de mar. de 2024 · Syria updates. The other thing that Eagle Dynamics drew attention to was the updated DCS: Syria map. The updates fall into two categories with the first being optimization. Ugra Media have optimized the map further adjusting the number of bushes, textures and simplifying certain damage models and even parked cars.
