Freshman Admission Requirements. All incoming freshmen are required to obtain their diploma from an accredited high school, equivalency diploma, or from a United States Armed Forces Institute. Freshmen applicants are considered for admission based on their: High school academic average.
General Education Requirements. John Jay College's general education requirements are part of CUNY's Pathways initiative. PART I. REQUIRED CORE; 4 courses/12 credits. To receive a baccalaureate degree from John Jay College, students must complete at least 30 credits of coursework in residence and at least 50 percent of their major at the College. Students may not take more than 50 percent of the courses used to fulfill their degree requirements online.
Graduation Requirements Candidates for the baccalaureate degree must complete at least 120 credits to obtain a degree. Eligibility. * Sophomore, Junior, OR Senior. * 20+ ACT English OR 75+ ELA Regents OR 480+SAT Reading and Writing Score OR. * 480+ PSAT Reading and Writing Score OR. * 85+ Eng. Avg.
