8 de ene. de 2024 · There are currently 20+ referees in WWE in RAW, SmackDown and NXT. Every match needs at least one official overseeing it. Not only are the referees onscreen officials, but they also coordinate the match between the Gorilla position and the performers.
Jessika Heiser (born June 25, 1991) is an American professional wrestling referee and former professional wrestler. She is signed to WWE, where she performs on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Jessika Carr. After signing with the company in 2017, Heiser became the first female WWE referee since the 1980s.
WWE personnel consists of professional wrestlers, managers, play-by-play and color commentators, ring announcers, interviewers, referees, trainers, producers, script writers, and various other positions. Executives and board members are also listed.
In professional wrestling, a referee is an authority figure present in or near the ring during matches. The referee's purpose is similar to that of referees in combat sports such as boxing or mixed martial arts, that is, as an arbiter of the rules and the person charged with rendering decisions.
