Six years after Rick's disappearance, Aaron entered a relationship with Paul "Jesus" Rovia, but was killed by the Whisperers, a cult of survivors that wore the faces of the dead and aimed to destroy the communities. Aaron fought the Whisperers in order to avenge Jesus and protect his daughter.
