Anne Sullivan Macy (born as Johanna Mansfield Sullivan; April 14, 1866 – October 20, 1936) was an American teacher best known for being the instructor and lifelong companion of Helen Keller. At the age of five, Sullivan contracted trachoma, an eye disease, which left her partially blind and without reading or writing skills.

Anne died on October 20, 1936. She dictated the following excerpted messages to Polly shortly before then: Good-bye John Macy, I'll soon be with you, good-bye, I loved you. I wanted to be loved, I was lonesome. Then Helen came into my life, I wanted her to love me and I loved her.
