Robert John Odenkirk (⫽ ˈ oʊ d ən k ɜːr k ⫽; born October 22, 1962) is an American actor, screenwriter, comedian and producer. He is known for his role as Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill on Breaking Bad (2008–2013) and its spin-off Better Call Saul (2015–2022).
Robert John Odenkirk was born in Berwyn, Illinois, to Barbara (Baier) and Walter Odenkirk, who worked in printing. His ancestry includes German and Irish. He grew up in Naperville, IL, the second of seven children.
