Chinatown remains a popular tourist attraction and is one of the largest historic Chinatowns in North America, but it experienced recent decline as newer members of Vancouver's Chinese community dispersed to other parts of the metropolitan area.

As the largest Chinatown in Canada, there are lots to see in this historic district after entering through its grand Millennium Gate. Here, you can find not only dim sum restaurants, Chinese grocers, traditional apothecaries, and antique shops, but also modern cocktail bars, cool coffee roasters, and fashion boutiques.
