She is known for playing chaperone Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games film series (2012–2015), Wyldstyle in The Lego Movie franchise, and an ICCA commentator in the Pitch Perfect film series (2012–2017).
Elizabeth Banks portrayed Betty Brant in Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man 3. Elizabeth Banks previously worked with Peter McRobbie in Shaft. Elizabeth Banks worked with Tobey Maguire again in Seabiscuit and The Details.
She also had to change her last name, to Banks, in order to avoid confusion with actress Elizabeth Mitchell. Her breakthrough role was as Betty Brant, the secretary of the cantankerous newspaper tycoon in Sam Raimi 's Spider-Man (2002) .
