The Scholarship Programme of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. The promotion of young talent has been one of the founding principles of the FES. The first scholarships were awarded to particularly talented young individuals from a working class milieu who were taking an active part in the young democracy of the Weimar Republic.

International students from all subjects (except the medical disciplines) who have been admitted to a doctoral programme at a German higher education institution are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Students and young B.A. Graduates have the opportunity to complete an internship in the Washington office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. We would like to point out the following points that are required for an internship and must be taken into account: Professional fluency in German and English.
