    • SIMPLE FUTURE (“will”) (subject + will + main verb) Para formulación de predicciones basadas en lo que pensamos va a ocurrir, más que en evidencias sólidas.
    • BE GOING TO. Subject + to be + going + infinitive with TO. En el inglés informal (especialmente en el inglés americano) se usa Gonna como forma corta de going to.
    • PRESENT CONTINOUS. (subject + “to be” + gerund) Hablando de arreglos o acuerdos. Ejemplo: We’re having a staff meeting next Tuesday = Tenemos una reunión de personal el próximo martes.
    • PRESENT SIMPLE. (subject + main verb) Para eventos programados en un horario, programación o calendario. Ejemplo: The nightclub opens at 7:00 pm on weekends = La discoteca abre a las 7:00 pm los fines de semana.
  2. We have different ways of talking about the future. We often use going to (+ infinitive), the present continuous ( to be + -ing ) or will (+ infinitive). The structure we use depends on the function of what we want to say, whether we are talking about arrangements, plans, predictions, etc..

  3. We often use the present continuous to talk about future events that have already been planned or decided. When we use the present continuous for arrangements, we must always include when ( at 7, this evening, next month , etc.) in the sentence.
