They represent the most common tumor of the cerebellopontine angle (CPA) and account for about 8% of all intracranial tumors [ 73 ].
Los Schwannomas vestibulares (SV) son tumores benignos del ángulo pontocerebeloso. Su tratamiento clásico es la microcirugía, sin embargo, con la aparición de la radiocirugía y la mejor comprensión de la historia natural de la enfermedad, la terapia quirúrgica ha disminuido en frecuencia quedando reservada para los casos más complejos.
