1 de abr. de 2024 · Helen Mirren, who plays enchantress Morgan le Fay in Excalibur, honed her craft at the Royal Shakespeare Company and is deliciously evil in the big-screen medieval fantasy. She was not, however, impressed with the film's dialogue, as she explained in a 2006 interview :
His relationship with Morgana (the lovely Helen Mirren) is actually the most interesting thing in the film. Morgana borrows Merlin's magic to deceive Arthur and to stay young. Inhabiting a dragon's cave that is apparently somewhere beneath Camelot, she wears brass brassieres and other obligatory props, but she's intriguing.
The Charm of Making, an incantation repeatedly uttered by both Merlin and Morgana, is in an Old Gaelic dialect that translates to Serpent's breath, charm of death and life, thy omen of making.
