A narrated demonstration is available to guide students through the steps required to bring a specimen into focus.

Robert Ketcham and Becky Kinney of the University of Delaware have developed an interactive web program that allows students to practice using a microscope over the Internet. Although this site is still a work in progress, it has great value in preparing a student for the first microscopy lab.
