Tyler Lee Hoechlin is an American actor and baseball player who portrayed Derek Hale on MTV's Teen Wolf as a series regular from Season 1 to Season 4. He returned in 2017 for the final season. Hoechlin returned for the 2023 film, Teen Wolf: The Movie, where he was also made a producer for the film.
In television, Hoechlin went on to star as Martin Brewer on 7th Heaven between 2003 and 2007, and also became known for portraying Derek Hale on Teen Wolf (2011–2014; 2017) and Superman in The CW's Supergirl (2016–2019) and Superman & Lois (2021–present).
