Wearing his 'new face', Kovacs decided to become a costumed adventurer by the name of 'Rorschach', taken from Hermann Rorschach, who created the Rorschach inkblot test. Continuing his work in the garment factory, Kovacs started his nocturnal lifestyle by fighting crime.

Rorschach is a twelve-issue limited series by Tom King and Jorge Fornés, published by DC Black Label. It began publication in October 13, 2020 and stars a detective investigating the violent legacy of Rorschach, thirty-five years after his death at the hands of Doctor Manhattan.
