Lastly, according to actress Rosamund Pike (in her DVD commentary), the character of Miranda Frost was originally named Gala Brand, the same name as the Bond girl in the original Moonraker novel. This makes Die Another Day the first Bond film since 1989's Licence to Kill to adapt substantial elements from Fleming's stories.
