Cash is the leader of a band of dogs called The Singin' Strays from the 2006 Disney film, The Fox and the Hound 2, the midquel of the 1981 film, The Fox and the Hound. He was voiced by the late Patrick Swayze , who played Darrel Curtis in the 1983 film The Outsiders , Dalton in the 1989 film Road House , and Sam Wheat in the 1990 film Ghost .
The band has five members: Dixie (a Saluki), Cash (a Spanish Hound), Granny Rose, and twin brothers Waylon and Floyd (Bloodhounds). It is important that they perform well because a talent scout from the Grand Ole Opry will be at the fair.
