I'm also inclined to believe that Mario is in on it - on Arc's route, Akiha alludes to having dinner plans on the night of Day 6, and on Ciel's route Day 5, Mario references having an upcoming meeting he has to go to. Those two are likely talking. I wouldn't be surprised if Saiki was at that dinner, too. Saiki Gо̄to & Kohaku.
Mario's goal in Tsukihime is to find Roa and ask him about immortality, so he can either make his "grandfather" Laurentis perfectly immortal, or remove his imperfect immortality (his curse of eternal youth).
