Upon taking the throne William did not forget his nine surviving illegitimate children, creating his eldest son, George, Earl of Munster and granting the other children the precedence of a daughter or a younger son of a marquess.

Hace 2 días · From the early 1790s until 1811, William lived with his mistress, the actress Dorothy Jordan. They had 10 children who took the surname Fitzclarence.
William IV, later Duke of Clarence, was the third son of George III and Queen Charlotte. ‘The Sailor King’, he spent much of his early life at sea. In 1818 he married Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen; sadly none of their children survived to adulthood.
