Abastumani (en georgiano: აბასთუმანი) es un asentamiento urbano de Georgia ubicado en el oeste de la región de Mesjetia-Yavajetia, siendo parte del municipio de Adigueni. El Observatorio Astrofísico Nacional de Georgia está ubicado en Abastumani.
Abastumani (Georgian: აბასთუმანი) is a small town and climatic spa in Adigeni Municipality, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Georgia. It is located on the southern slopes of the Meskheti Range (Lesser Caucasus), in the small river valley of Otskhe, 25 km northeast of Adigeni and 28 km west of Akhaltsikhe.
One of Georgia’s most famous mountain resorts, it is particularly popular with adventurous travelers looking to wander its trails and soak in its healing waters. The resort, 1,300 meters above sea level, is nestled within an evergreen pine forest that lends it its fey mystique.

Abastumani itself is a resort town in the southern part of Georgia, situated in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, Adigeni municipality. It is nestled on the south slopes of the Meskheti Ridge, in the valley of the river Otskhe. The town is also home to tuberculosis sanatoriums, cultural and educational centers, as well as spa facilities.
What to see in Abastumani. Astrophysical Observatory –An enclosed territory which has two hotels, although not fancy, high among the pine trees and nature. There are great trails to hike and the serenity is a real treat. The best part is the Observatory which you can visit on a clear night and see the stars and sometimes even a planet.

Su fundación se remonta a 1932 por el Académico Eugene Kharadze en el Monte Kanobili a 1700 metros sobre el nivel del mar, cerca del complejo Abastumani, en la parte sureste de Georgia.
