Hald Manor ( Danish: Hald Hovedgård) is located 7 km south-west of Viborg, Denmark. Now owned by the Danish state, it is used as a venue for meetings and conferences. Hald Manor is a single storey building with a 3-storey central section, originally built as a gatehouse in 1798.

Hald Ruin is one of the famous places to visit in the Viborg region, and many know and enjoy the beautiful view over Hald Sø (Lake) from the tower. It is the ruins of a former manorhouse built in 1528 by Bishop Jørgen Friis, Viborg.
Hald Castle was built in 1528 by the bishop Jørgen Friis, who was the last Roman Catholic bishop of Viborg. It is said that Friis was one of the first prisons in Hald tower after the Reformation. The castle was left to decay and in the 1700s it was abandoned.

Hald Manor near Hald Lake south of Viborg belonged to a powerful squire, Niels Bugge, in the 14th century. It later belonged to the bishop of Viborg. Then came the Reformation and Hald became crown lands.
Two 'Halder', the manor house 'Hald Hovedgaard' and the ruin named after Bishop Friis stil exist. The five 'Halder' have a long and exciting history which dates back to 1300 when the first large castle was built on the banks of the lake 'Hald Sø'.
