Veliko Tárnovo (en búlgaro: Велѝко Тъ̀ рново, traducido como "Gran Tárnovo") es el centro cultural del norte de Bulgaria. After the city was proclaimed the capital of the second Bulgarian Kingdom in 1185, Tsarevets became home to the aristocracy and its main fort. As of 2022, you can pre-buy a ticket to Veliko Tarnovo’s main sights online, including the Tsarevets fortress!
