  2. The second creation came in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1827 in favour of the Honourable F. J. Robinson. He was a great-great-grandson of the first Duke of Kent.   3. Robinson was given a peerage in January 1827, becoming Viscount Goderich. A month later, Liverpool resigned. Canning replaced him and he asked Goderich to become Leader of the House of Lords and War and Colonial Secretary.
