Gerald Valerian Wellesley (1809 – 17 September 1882) was a Church of England cleric who became the Dean of Windsor. More importantly, he was domestic chaplain to Queen Victoria and played a major advisory role regarding the royal family's personal affairs.

The marriage was unhappy and they separated in 1922, but never divorced. Dorothy, a poet, was a lesbian.

Description. Gerald Valerian Wellesley was a Church of England cleric. He was also the nephew of Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington. He was appointed domestic chaplain to Queen Victoria and became one of the Queen's most valued advisors and confidants. He also became Dean of Windsor.
