Our history goes back 250 years to Denmark's first real hospital, ”Det kongelige Frederiks Hospital”, which was established to treat and care free of charge for impoverished patients in Copenhagen. The hospital opened in 1757 and was located in Bredgade in the building where the Museum of Art and Design is today.
