The band formed in 1983, comprising Mad Shadows members lead singer/rhythm guitarist Trevor Steel and guitarist John Holliday, along with former Expressos members bassist Johnnie Christo (a.k.a. John Christoforou) and drummer Milan Zekavica.
The Escape Club formed in London, England in 1982 from the remains of two bands; The Expressos and Mad Shadows. Their founding members were; Trevor Steel, John Holliday, Johnnie Christo and Milan Zekavica. Both bands, Mad Shadows and the Expressos had done quite well on the gig circuit.

1 de nov. de 2021 · Trevor Steel and John Holliday (guitarist), former members of Mad Shadows, were joined by Johnnie Christo (bassist) and Milan Zekavica, former members of Expressos, and after almost a year of writing and rehearsing they played their first gig as The Escape Club in 1983.
Johnnie Christo formed the Escape Club as their Bassist in 1983 with Trevor Steel, John Holliday and Milan Zekavica. They released their first album White Fields in the UK in 1987. Their next album was released in the summer of 1988 on Atlantic records out of the USA.
