20 de may. de 2024 · It was created in 1157 as the Margraviate of Brandenburg by Albert the Bear, Margrave of the Northern March. In 1356, by the terms of the Golden Bull of Charles IV, the Margrave of Brandenburg was given the permanent right to participate in the election of the Holy Roman Emperor with the title of Elector (German: Kurfürst).
Hace 6 días · The Swabian branch ruled the principalities of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen until 1849, and also ruled Romania from 1866 to 1947. Members of the Franconian branch became Margrave of Brandenburg in 1415 and Duke of Prussia in 1525.

4 de may. de 2024 · The six captivating Brandenburg Concertos BWV 1046-1051 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) were presented to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt and brother of King Frederick William I of Prussia, in March 1721.
