  5. Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey was a British politician, leader of the Whig (liberal) Party, and prime minister (1830–34), who presided over the passage of the Reform Act of 1832, modernizing the franchise and the electoral system.

  6. Grey married Mary Ponsonby in 1794. They had 16 children, 13 of whom reached adulthood. Before he was married, Grey was also the lover of Whig Georgina Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, and fathered her daughter Eliza (b.1791).
