1 de jun. de 2024 · After 1557 the House Leiningen-Westerburg-Schaumburg resided here, 1656 it was sold to Agnes von Effern, widow of Count Peter Melander von Holzappel, and afterwards was inherited by the House Nassau-Dillenburg, and later on by the families Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg and the Imperial family of Austria. 1867 Duke Georg Ludwig of Oldenburg inherited the castle from Archduke Stephan of Austria.
