The Batman (2022) isn’t a prequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), it’s a different take on the character. Although the film isn’t set in the DCEU, Matt Reeves is planning to expand the world of the film with its own cinematic universe.

Despite the actor now being somewhat of a household name, it wasn’t always like that, he never got the chance to play Batman but he did take part in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ at the beginning of his career.
