We also found "Dali - The Centenary Retrospective" which was published by Thames & Hudson to be another useful resource on the artist. He wanted to show people the effects war can have to their livelihood how war can tear them apart and live them lonely and miserable. He used his paintings to teach people the importance of staying at peace with others.

Instantly recognizable as one of Dali's surreal landscapes, this painting is one of his most popular images. A number of Dali's paintings include the use of butterflies.
