In the months after Thomas Quiney’s marriage to Judith Shakespeare, both he and probably his new wife were excommunicated for their failure to respond to the charge that they had not sought a license to marry during Lent, the church season before Easter.
Thomas and Judith Quiney had three children named Shakespeare, Richard, and Thomas. Shakespeare Quiney died in infancy and was buried in 1617; Richard and Thomas died within weeks of each other (aged twenty-one and nineteen) and were buried in 1639. With the death of her husband sometime around 1652, Judith was alone.

He was baptised on 23 January 1619/20 at Holy Trinity, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, and entered in the parish register as: "Thomas fili Thomas Queeney."
A letter of 4 November from Sturley acknowledges one from Quiney importing ‘that our countryman Mr Wm Shak. would procure us money, which I will like of as I shall hear when, and where, and how …’.Eventually Quiney's negotiations were successful: the Queen agreed to relieve ‘this town twice afflicted and almost wasted by fire’, and Quiney's London expenses were borne by the Exchequer.

He died in Jan 1639 aged 21 (possibly of the plague). Thomas Quiney was born in Jan 1619. He also died in Jan 1639, the same month as his brother, aged 19 (possibly of the plague).
