He succeeded his father as Baron Bergavenny on 21 September 1744, and matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford on 21 February 1744/5. Henrietta Pelham married Hon. Richard Temple M.P. (c. 1726–1749) in 1748, but he died of smallpox.
