A year after his first wife's death, he married, secondly, Lucy Eleanor Barnes (25 December 1897 – 11 September 1943), daughter of Sir George Stapylton Barnes and of his wife, Sybil de Gournay Buxton. The ceremony took place on 6 October 1924.

  4. Grandson of the 2nd duke, Charles Fitzroy (1683–1757), and great-grandson of the 1st, he was educated at Westminster School and Peterhouse, Cambridge. He was secretary of state in 1765 under the Marquess of Rockingham but retired the following year. William Pitt formed a ministry in which Grafton was first lord of the Treasury (1766).

  7. 25 de feb. de 2023 · Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Grafton, an illegitimate son of King Charles II, was a military commander and colonel of the Grenadier Guards. He was appointed Vice-Admiral of England from 1682 to 1689 and killed during the Williamite War in Ireland in 1690. He was married to Isabella Bennet, daughter of Henry Bennet, 1st Earl of Arlington, and had a son, Charles FitzRoy, 2nd Duke of Grafton.
