Elizabeth of Rhuddlan (also Elizabeth Plantagenet) (7 August 1282, Rhuddlan Castle 5 May 1316, Quendon) was the eighth daughter of Edward I of England and Eleanor of Castile. Of all of her siblings, she was closest to her younger brother Edward II of England, as they were only two years apart in age.

Unlike most royal wives, who would have stayed at home in one of their sumptuous, cosy palaces, Eleanor was in Wales with her husband.
