Amazonで購入. On this album Phineas Newborn leads two trios. These are not "regular" groups but brought together for the puroses of recording only. The first trio features Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones from the then Miles Davis quintet, the second Sam Jones and Louis Hayes from Cannonball Adderley's quintet.
Newborn was born in Whiteville, Tennessee, [2] and came from a musical family: his father, Phineas Newborn Sr., was a drummer in blues bands, [2] and his younger brother, Calvin, a jazz guitarist. [3] He studied piano as well as trumpet, and tenor and baritone saxophone. [4]
