Jim, Ted, Russ and Jules lived in a 3 bedroom house on Ardmore, just south of Melrose. Brian was married with children and had his own place. Terry was living with his future wife in West Hollywood. Ted’s drums, the bass amp and guitar amps were kept set up in the living room and that’s where they rehearsed for the next 5 months.

Ted Bluechel Jr was the band's drummer from its formation in 1965 until he left in 1984. All of the group members shared vocals, one reason that details of who sang what leads are sketchy for other than their biggest hits, but I have found him credited as lead on "Songs in the Wind" and "Standing Still" and co-lead (with Brian Cole) on "The Nest".
