Countess Palatine Hedwig Elisabeth of Neuburg. Hedwig Elisabeth of Neuburg ( Polish: Jadwiga Elżbieta Amalia Sobieska; 18 July 1673 – 10 August 1722) was a Polish princess by marriage to James Louis Sobieski. She was the daughter of Philip William, Duke of Neuburg and Landgravine Elisabeth Amalie of Hesse-Darmstadt .
In 1556, Otto Henry became the Elector Palatine and the next year ceded his duchy (the so-called Young Palatinate) to Wolfgang, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken. The eldest son of Wolfgang, Philipp Louis, founded in 1569 the elder line of Palatine Zweibrücken-Neuburg , from which the Palatine Sulzbach lineage was separated in 1614.

Maria Anna of Neuburg[lower-alpha 1] (28 October 1667 - 16 July 1740), was a German princess and member of the Wittelsbach family. In 1689, she became Queen consort of Spain as the second wife of Charles II of Spain, last Habsburg ruler of the Spanish Empire.
Life. Augustus was born in Neuburg in 1582 as the second son of Philip Louis of Palatinate-Neuburg and Anna of Cleves. After his father's death in 1614 his territories were partitioned between Augustus and his two brothers - Augustus received northern portions of the Duchy of Neuburg which were constituted as the Duchy of Sulzbach .
