Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) was formed when in 2012, SAC (the Scottish Agricultural College) merged with three other prestigious land-based colleges - Oatridge, Elmwood and Barony - to become one of the largest institutions of its kind in Europe.
Watch on. Our Oatridge campus stands on its own 283-hectare estate, including a working farm, in the West Lothian countryside and is within easy reach of the motorway network. As well as a student accommodation and a library, there is also a nine-hole golf course, and the campus is home to the Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC).
Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) offers specialist degrees in rural subjects at its seven campuses across Scotland. Subjects range from agriculture to animal welfare, horticulture to forestry. All students get plenty of support from dedicated and experienced tutors to help them reach their potential.
