10. The Killers (1964) “The Killers” is a 1964 crime film directed by Don Siegel and based on the short story of the same name by Ernest Hemingway. The film stars Lee Marvin as a professional hitman named Charlie, and John Cassavetes as a former race car driver named Johnny North who becomes embroiled in a heist gone wrong.
