  3. 28 de dic. de 2020 · Anthony Ughtred ( d. 1534), a later member of the family, took a prominent part in the French and Scots wars of Henry VIII. During 1513–14 he was marshal of Tournay after its capture from the French, and from 1523 to 1528 he was captain of Berwick. He was subsequently appointed governor of Jersey, and held that office till his death in 1534.

  4. Sir Anthony Ughtred died in Jersey on 6 October 1534 and was buried in the chapel of St George, in the castle of Mont Orgueil. After her husband's death, Elizabeth returned to Kexby, Yorkshire . The manor of Kexby had been granted for life to Sir Anthony Ughtred and his wife, Elizabeth by Henry VIII in 1531 [6] and it was here that Henry's sister Margery was born.
