Henry Percy, 9th Earl of Northumberland, KG (27 April 1564 – 5 November 1632) was an English nobleman. He was a grandee and one of the wealthiest peers of the court of Elizabeth I . Under James I , Northumberland was a long-term prisoner in the Tower of London , due to the suspicion that he was complicit in the Gunpowder Plot.
1 de sept. de 2021 · Percy, Henry, third Earl of Northumberland (1421–1461), son of Henry, second earl (see above), was born at Leconfield, Yorkshire, on 25 July 1421, and was knighted by Henry VI on 19 May 1426, being the day on which the little king was himself knighted (Fœdera, x. 356). In July 1439 he was appointed warden of the east marches and Berwick.

Henry de Percy, 2nd Baron Percy, who was granted the lands of Patrick IV, Earl of March, in Northumberland, by Edward II in 1316, began to improve the size and defences of the castle. He was appointed to Edward III 's Council in 1327 and was given the manor and castle of Skipton .
Brother of the 7th earl, Henry Percy served both Mary I and Elizabeth I in several capacities. During the northern rebellion, in which his brother was a leading agent, he was on the royal side, vigorously attacking the rebels. After his brother’s execution in 1572, Elizabeth permitted him to assume the title of earl of Northumberland.

Henry Percy, 6th Earl of Northumberland, KG (c. 1502 – 1537) was an English nobleman, active as a military officer in the north. He is now primarily remembered as the betrothed of Anne Boleyn , whom he was forced to give up before she became involved with and later married King Henry VIII.
