Lady Rochford's sister-in-law, Anne Boleyn married the King in January 1533. Jane was appointed as lady of the Queen's bedchamber. According to a statement later made in court, Anne told Jane that after a few months of marriage, that the King was incapable of making love to her and he had neither "skill or virility".

After all, if Jane (or any other courtier coerced into telling tales of Anne Boleyn and the rest of the accused) had been really maliciously slandering her husband and sister-in-law, she could certainly have fabricated better evidence than the paltry and ridiculous one ...
